Beautifully banded in shades of black, smoke grey and russet, this calmly sympathetic antique Scottish Agate cross pendant is a lovely example. Scottish Agate jewellery became popular in the Victorian period as a reflection of the monarch's love of the country. Often bought as souvenirs when visiting there was at the time quite an industry producing these pieces which justly reflected the beauty of the natural landscapes.
In super condition, the measurements are 5cm by 3cm.
